FAQs

What are your clinic hours?

My books are open to see clients Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am-5:30pm. The other days I’m doing all the boring business stuff that keeps That Girl Needs Therapy operating.

Do you only see clients in person?

No, in fact, many of my clients are only able to meet online. Whether you live far away, have a busy lifestyle or caretaking commitments, the good news is that online video calls are a great way to access support. The most important thing is finding the right therapist who aligns with your mental health support requirements.

Tapping seems weird. Do I have to do it?

Not at all. During session, we will only explore the modalities that you feel comfortable with. My role is to support you and work within your boundaries. That doesn’t mean that you won’t feel challenged from time to time, however, you’ll always be in the drivers seat.

Do you see people who haven’t experienced family violence?

Of course! We humans may have very different backgrounds and life experiences, but at the end of the day, we’re more alike than you’d think. What’s important to me is learning about how I can support you. Each session is tailored to you, your unique mental health goals and individual needs.

I do have a special interest in working with sensitive women, people with chronic illness, neurodivergent minds and survivors of family and domestic violence. Although, I also have experience working with eating disorders, trauma, cult survivors, carers and allied health professionals, and much more.

"To be honest, I’m a skeptic. I gave it a shot, nothing to lose but everything to gain. I tried the tapping and I found that my anxiety disappeared, and so did the sick feeling in my tummy. My anger felt right, and I accepted it. I may not be able to fix everything but I certainly took a lot away from the session.”
